Allow me to introduce myself—my name is Vicki Lynn Maltais, and I’m one of the stagers, declutterers, and organizers behind Freeing Staging!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself and how I found my way into the world of staging.
I was born and raised in Campbellton, NB, and graduated high school in 2013. I initially pursued a career in early childhood education, becoming a certified ECE after working with children from the young age of 12. I worked in daycares from age 16 but always felt a pull toward something more creative. So, in 2016, I made the move to Dieppe to study interior design at Université de Moncton—something I had always been passionate about.
Halfway through my second year of studies, life blessed me with my daughter. I made the decision to step away from school to focus on being the best mom I could be. But I didn’t put my dreams on hold—I used my maternity leave to study real estate and officially became a licensed REALTOR® in April 2021.
Over the past four years, I’ve juggled being a single mama and a dedicated realtor—often with my daughter right by my side at showings and appointments. From day one, I’ve been very hands-on with my clients—helping them declutter, organize, stage, offer reno advice, clean before closing, and more. I realized early on that I wanted to merge my two passions: interior design and real estate.
Today, with Freeing Staging, I’m able to offer more personalized, impactful services to both my clients and fellow realtors. I love helping homes shine with just the right touches—and I truly see every house, every stage, and every client as a unique work of art.
I feel so lucky to wake up every day and do what I love.
